✊🏾 Coalition for African Americans in the Performing Arts (CAAPA)

CAAPA is the largest Black non-profit organization that supports people of color in the arts: Bringing Color to the Classics™

The CAAPA Cultural Center offers performances that uplift and inspire, educational programs that open doors, and community initiatives that foster connection and growth. Together, we are breaking barriers, amplifying underrepresented voices, and making classical music more inclusive and reflective of the communities it serves.

Because of CAAPA, there are real opportunities for musicians of color. But the organization’s impact isn’t just about music—it’s about empowerment, visibility, and change.

CAAPA creates role models, fosters talent with mentorships, and does incredible philanthropic outreach.
