The Courtney D. Pringle Memorial Scholarship
The Courtney D. Pringle Memorial Scholarship honors the remarkable life and legacy of Courtney D. Pringle (1938-2023), celebrating aspiring Black artists who embody her passion for excellence in the performing arts. This special scholarship, funded by our 60+ ARTS program, creates a beautiful bridge between generations of artists.
Recipients demonstrate exceptional talent and commitment to classical music while carrying forward Courtney's spirit of community, mentorship, and artistic excellence. More than financial support, this scholarship connects young artists to a legacy of inspiration and a network of mentors dedicated to their success.
The memorial scholarship represents our commitment to ensuring that Courtney's impact continues through the next generation of performers who will bring their own color to the classics.

The CAAPA Music Scholarship program provides direct support to graduating high school musicians committed to continuing their classical music education and performance. Funded by generous donors who believe in the power of music education, these scholarships recognize exceptional talent while removing financial barriers to musical advancement.
Recipients participate in our Student Showcase, performing two selections—one classical and one of their choice—before an audience of peers, parents, guests, and music professionals. This transformative experience combines performance opportunity with professional mentorship, preparing students for success in college and beyond.

Graduating high school seniors with a demonstrated commitment to classical music performance. Students of all backgrounds are encouraged to apply, with priority given to those pursuing music education or professional performance careers.

Two musical selections: one classical piece and one of your choice. You'll receive mentorship and guidance from CAAPA professionals to help you prepare your best possible performance.
